"The Producers" opened on Broadway in 2001, winning a record breaking 12 Tony awards, including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score. As in the Brooks film on which it is based, the story centers on two producers scheming to get rich by overselling interests in a sure-fire flop. Adam Grun directs a large cast that includes Kent Coffel as Max Bialystock and Dominic Windsor as Leo Bloom.
