Calling All Thespians:
We need YOU to make a difference in both the St. Louis Theatre community and the community at large. You have the power to give back your time, your talents and your passions and change the life of members of our community!!!
ARTS FOR LIFE serves and supports the St. Louis theatrical community though the reviews and recognition of community theatre members at the annual Best Performance Awards. Beginning this year, ARTS FOR LIFE also serves the community as a whole by working with the funds generated from the awards show to create life changing charitable performance based programs throughout the St. Louis community.
The programs will benefit Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, St. Vincent's Home for Children, and The Pulitzer Foundation. The programs are designed to use the performing arts directly to both heal and provide hope to members of the metro St. Louis community.
ARTS FOR LIFE provides several opportunities to get involved directly with these amazing programs. We hope that many of you will work both in generating the funds to create those programs, as well as hands on within the programs themselves. We are currently looking for all those "theatre lovers" as well as all those with a heart for children's causes out there to get involved in these programs as an AFL Program Volunteer. There are hundreds of different ways to contribute your time and talent.
Additionally, ARTS FOR LIFE is currently looking for volunteers to assist with the planning and development of the Best Performance Awards in several areas. We are searching for all those with an inner "theatre critic", to join our Theatre Recognition Guild and review local community theatre productions. We need a few great sales people to join our Event Planning Committee to help with fundraising. Those with leadership ability and a passion for this art form should consider a position with the AFL Board of Directors.
